What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on a user’s device while browsing. They can be strictly necessary for the site to work, or used for statistical, functional or advertising purposes.

Which cookies this site uses

AP Canarian Service takes a minimal approach: this site does not install profiling cookies or third-party advertising cookies.

Technical consent cookie (apcs_cookie_consent): stores the choice made in the cookie banner for 180 days, so it isn’t requested on every visit. It does not require prior consent since it is strictly necessary to remember the expressed preference (Art. 22.2 LSSI-CE).

The site also loads some typefaces from Google Fonts servers: this involves a technical request to Google’s servers, which may involve transmitting the device’s IP address. No cookie is installed by Google Fonts through the API used on this site, but the request itself constitutes a data processing activity managed by Google as a processor or independent controller, under its own privacy notice.

Legal basis and consent

Under Article 22.2 of the LSSI-CE (Ley 34/2002 de Servicios de la Sociedad de la Información) and the ePrivacy Regulation, technical or strictly necessary cookies do not require prior consent, while any non-essential cookie (analytics, profiling or advertising) would require your explicit consent before installation. Should we introduce analytics or marketing tools in the future, we will update this page and the consent banner to collect prior, granular authorisation as required by the applicable regulations.
